The Council of Europe’s cultural support fund, Eurimages, marked its 30th anniversary with a special ceremony at the Aubette in Strasbourg city centre. Speakers included the Council’s Secretary General, Marija Pejčinović Burić , and Eurimages President Catherine Trautmann. French Culture Minister Franck Riester delivered his address in video format.
The ceremony was followed by a screening of the animated film “The Swallows of Kabul”, a co-production of France, Luxembourg and Switzerland. Established in 1989, Eurimages numbers 38 of the 47 member states plus Argentina and Canada as Associate members.
