Celebrating cultural diversity

France France

Building a new Europe around common values was not just about changing laws, it also meant building an idea of unity and togetherness amongst the different countries and cultures of the continent, recognising that ‘Europeanness’ brought with it a common heritage and history. The Cultural Convention was launched to that end, to encourage the study of languages, history and civilisation and celebrate all of Europe’s cultural diversity.
