The European Centre for Global Interdependence and Solidarity – more commonly known as the North-South Centre - was set up in Lisbon with the mission of spreading Council of Europe values of human rights, democracy and the rule of law beyond the European continent. It works with civil society, especially women and young people, to build bridges between people from different cultures and diverse backgrounds. Follow the Centre’s history.
