17 December 1962 Looking after the property of hotel guests
FranceEurope’s economic recovery meant more travel and opportunities for people to enjoy their leisure time. The 1962 Convention on the Liability of Hotel-Keepers for their guests’ property is an example of one of the practical ways that Council of Europe measures led to positive change. To this day it is the only international text to set out how guests can get compensation for property that has been damaged, lost or destroyed.
