29 June 1966 Europe and art meet in Stockholm
The Council of Europe celebrated the life of one of the most learned women of the 17th century - Queen Christina of Sweden – with this exhibition in Stockholm. A convert to Catholicism, she abdicated the Swedish throne at the age of 27. She was a patron of the arts whose motto was “Wisdom supports the nation”.
