Walking through history at Council of Europe exhibition

Visitors to the Palais de l’Europe in Strasbourg will be able to walk through the Council’s history thanks to an exhibition celebrating 70 years of the Organisation’s work.

The exhibition in the Foyer of the Committee of Ministers features artworks and gifts from different countries, artefacts such as the score of the European anthem and the originals of different conventions, and the Visitors’ Book with messages from presidents, prime ministers, royalty and celebrities.

Opened by Finnish Foreign Minister Timo Soini and Parliamentary Assembly President Liliane Maury Pasquier during the April session of the Parliamentary Assembly, the exhibition is open from 9 April to 24 May and from 30 September to 29 November.

Open to the general public during the Open Doors event on 5 May, soon there will be no need to visit Strasbourg even to enjoy the exhibition: an online version will be available on this site in the coming weeks.
