The Council of Europe's Group of States against Corruption (GRECO) monitors anti-corruption measures in the United States of America, which is one of its 49 members.

Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Mexico, Peru and the United States of America are all members of the European Commission for Democracy through Law - better known as the Venice Commission - the Council of Europe's advisory body on constitutional matters.

Mexico has Observer status at the Council of Europe's European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI). ECRI works closely with the Organization of American States.

The Council of Europe’s intercultural approach to integration has been adopted by Montréal (Canada), Rochester Minnesota (USA), and Mexico City. It is included in Mexico’s national legislation.

Guatemala has observer status with the Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ), which is also working towards closer cooperation with the USA National Court Administration and Brazil.

The Council of Europe’s “Dosta!” campaign for Roma and Travellers and its work with Roma civil society are being used as examples of good practice and potential sources of inspiration for Roma in the Americas.

“Kiko and the Hand”, the children’s book that helps parents talk to children about child sexual abuse, is available in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Paraguay, the United States of America, and Uruguay.
